Job Summary
Software Quality Assurance Analyst at weavix: Develop and execute test plans and scripts for mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications; perform manual testing of mobile apps; maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Appium, or similar; utilize Jira and Zephyr Scale for test management and defect tracking; collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers within an Agile framework; document results and defects; stay current with QA trends and best practices; contribute to sprint planning and QA prioritization; ensure alignment with user stories, acceptance criteria, and business goals; required hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing, plus a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-6 years of relevant experience; strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, quality-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3-6 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing role, with a focus on mobile (iOS and Android) and web application testing, preferably in a SaaS or technology startup environment
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing
- Proficiency in Jira and Zephyr Scale for test case management, defect tracking, and test reporting
- Experience with QA automation tooling, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar, and proficiency in writing and executing automated test scripts
- Demonstrated proficiency in multi-layer testing of mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, and cross-browser testing of web applications
- Excellent analytical, writing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze complex systems, and identify root causes effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment
