Job Summary
Write and execute test cases for individual software components, documenting processes, results, and findings. Analyze test reports and performance metrics to validate software functionality prior to system integration. Use command-line tools, scripts, and test stubs/mocks for validation while identifying and reporting defects via tracking tools. Participate in design reviews and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues within Linux-based and DevOps environments. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of testing experience, and a DoD Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field OR High School diploma with relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience in software testing
- Experience with component-level testing of software modules
- Experience developing test plans and test cases
- Proficiency with command-line tools, scripting, and testing techniques
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
- Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile environments (sprints, PI planning, etc.)
- Experience with testing tools such as gcov
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Experience supporting modeling and simulation environments
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience supporting DoD-related programs
