Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software applications for DoD customers, focusing on network configuration for VLANs on edge-node devices and ensuring integration with hardware components. Build automation scripts using Go, Bash, and Python to support Linux systems, systemd services, and secure remote administration via SSH. Deploy containerized applications with Podman and Quadlets while configuring Ethernet networking, VLANs, TLS, and system communications. Execute provisioning, bootstrap, and deployment procedures, and assist with Authority to Operate accreditation processes. Troubleshoot distributed systems, validate communication protocols, and support hardware integration for serial, USB, I2C, and SPI interfaces. Ensure software resilience during hardware attachment events and maintain compliance with ATO, RMF, and cybersecurity standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of software engineering or systems integration experience
  • Experience with Linux, Bash, Git, Go, Python, and container technologies
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including wired ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, and routing
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Ethernet-based networks, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and DNS
  • Experience supporting software deployed on Linux-based embedded or edge-computing platforms
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Experience supporting DoD, Navy, Marine Corps, or Intelligence Community programs
  • Experience with ARM-based platforms, embedded Linux, and edge computing environments
  • Experience integrating software with sensors, radios, autonomous systems, unmanned systems, or edge-computing devices
  • Familiarity with RMF, Zero Trust, and secure software development practices
