Job Summary
Lead integration of deployed software into custom Windows and Linux operating systems while designing software interfaces for integrated training systems used by US Navy and Royal Australian Navy fleets. Develop new system architectures to support customer needs and manage schedules and taskings to ensure team deadlines are met. Debug, triage, and troubleshoot software and operating system bugs while providing leadership and mentorship to 10 to 15 software integrators. Identify and mitigate risks from new taskings or increased scope. Travel up to two weeks at a time, four to six times annually. Requires demonstrated leadership skills, complex schedule management, and proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python with Linux experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Department of Defense SECRET security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to maintain a complex schedule and multi-task
- Ability to debug, triage and troubleshoot software and operating system bugs
- Understanding of virtualization and containerization concepts
- Understanding of DevOps methods, concepts and tools
- Software development experience with C/C++, Java or Python
- Experience with the Linux Operating Systems
- RedHat/CentOS/Fedora experience
