Job Summary
Integrate software components into the CIS Linux-based Common Computing Environment and improve the software build process. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software test environments while developing bash and Python scripts to automate installation, testing, and monitoring. Manage containerized software in distributed environments using Kubernetes, automate continuous quality and cyber analysis, and configure RHEL servers and network switches. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to isolate software and hardware problems within the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems. Work onsite in Manassas, VA, with a 9/80 flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 2+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
- Kubernetes or Linux
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Candidate must local to the area and able to work onsite
- Experience integrating containerized software components in a distributed computing environment
- Knowledge of containerized environments and Kubernetes container orchestration
- Skilled in development of bash and python scripts to automate installation, test, and monitoring of software components
- Ability to develop automated build processes including continuous quality and cyber analysis
- Experience in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies
- Configuration setup of RHEL servers and network switches
- Advanced troubleshooting techniques for isolation of software and hardware problems
Desired Qualifications
- Configuration and cyber hardening of Linux based Operating Systems
- Experience working with Docker and/or Podman containers
- Experience with RKE2 Kubernetes distribution
- Experience with C/C++ or other high order language
- Red Hat System Administrator/Engineer certification
