Job Summary
Software Integration Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to support Ground Weapons System (GWS) on the Ground Fire Control product in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities include developing and integrating software into a single system, coordinating and executing software integration tests, performing detailed data analysis, preparing software test reports, developing installation scripts, and coordinating daily integration activities with local team members. Requires working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with possible travel up to 10%, and holding a current in-scope U.S. government clearance (Secret). Preferred qualifications include Security+ certification, GMD/MDA experience, and experience with GUIs, Linux, C++, Java, and ADA. The role is eligible for potential higher grade based on qualifications, with salary ranges stated for primary and secondary levels. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of related experience with a PhD (Principal Software Integration Engineer – Level 3)
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8 years of related experience, or Master’s Degree in STEM and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD in STEM (Sr. Principal Software Integration Engineer – Level 4)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Active in-scope U.S. Government issued clearance (Fundamental understanding of systems engineering and software-centric product development)
- Experience generating scripts and troubleshooting software integration efforts
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and team-collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Windows/Microsoft Office; Linux experience; C++, Java, ADA
- Preference for Security+ certification and relevant domain experience (GMD/MDA)
