Job Summary
Software Integration Engineer – Level 3 located in Colorado Springs, CO, supporting the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor for the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product. Responsibilities include developing and integrating software into a single system, coordinating execution of software integration tests, performing installation/configuration verification, and creating test plans and installation scripts. Requires a STEM degree (Bachelor’s preferred, Master’s with related experience also acceptable or PhD with limited experience), 5 years (or 3 years with Master’s, or 1 year with PhD) of related experience, willingness to travel up to 10%, and an active Secret clearance. Travel and collaboration with local/global teams are expected; familiarity with Linux, C++, Java, ADA, and GUIs, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills, are valued. Relocation assistance is Not Available. Primary salary range is $103,600 to $155,400 annually, with potential bonuses and standard benefits. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of related experience with a PhD
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
- Fundamental understanding of the systems engineering process and experience with system development of a software-centric product (preferably with a system in a system of systems type environment)
- Fundamental understanding of software development with the ability to troubleshoot and support software integration efforts
- Strong verbal/written communications skills for a small technical team environment
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Desire to learn more about components of GMD and how they fit together and communicate
