Job Summary
Lead system-level debug for issues crossing subsystem boundaries and support early integration of new sensor and software component designs by identifying interface requirements, risks, and dependencies. Create provisioning tools, functional tests, and mission-readiness checks used before manufacturing signoff, validation, field testing, or mission use. Design and maintain integration tests, test setups, and procedures to ensure subsystems satisfy requirements and design intent. Build and maintain tools, checks, and debug guidance that Manufacturing Integration, Validation, Field Service, and Fleet Operations need to use consistently and independently. Work cross-functionally with electrical, hardware, firmware, and autonomy engineers to support new functionality in both hardware and software.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software for robotics, autonomous vehicles, or other complex mechatronics systems
- Python and C++ experience, writing building reliable and performant code
- Experience with grokking source code and working with a large codebase
- Solid understanding of OS concepts, software performance, networking
- Comfortable using source control and build automation tools like Git, Jenkins, Buildkite, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware experience
- Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams spanning software, controls, and hardware, and can communicate technical details across domains effectively
