Job Summary
Mid-level Software Integration Engineer responsible for the administration, maintenance, and operational support of the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) component of the CASA Compute Environment (CCE). The CCE provides secure, multi-tenant, high-performance, and highly available Kubernetes clusters operating within a Linux-based infrastructure. Tasks include ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security compliance, and optimal cluster performance in support of mission and application requirements. The role requires Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI with favorable Polygraph) and U.S. citizenship. The position emphasizes Linux CLI, Bash/Python scripting, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes administration, Helm Charts, Git, Ansible IaC, and troubleshooting of Kubernetes workloads, with experience in DevOps practices and Agile methodologies. Knowledge of Prometheus/Grafana and Python REST/microservice development is a plus; candidate should hold a Security+ certification and may have CKAs. Eligible for direct-hire consideration with salary range $130,000–$270,000 plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment
- Five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree
- Hold a Security+ Certification
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Podman
- Demonstrated experience administrating and monitoring Kubernetes clusters
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads (ingress, performance, networking, storage, etc.)
- Experience with IaC principles, concepts, and methodologies using automation tools including Ansible
- Experience writing, deploying, and maintaining Helm Charts
- Experience using Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
