Job Summary
Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) – Developer Productivity & CI/CD: lead as a key technical contributor on Salesforce's global engineering platform, owning Developer Productivity Engineering and CI/CD Platform Engineering to reduce friction, improve tooling, and accelerate velocity. responsibilities include designing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines with Harness CI and Jenkins, building high-performance internal developer tooling and dashboards (using Svelte) and backend services, optimizing build infrastructure across on-prem and cloud, implementing Kubernetes-based containerized build/test workflows (EKS), instrumenting productivity metrics (DORA, SPACE) with data pipelines (Airbyte) and observability dashboards (ELK Stack, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana), integrating automated security checks (Veracode SAST/SCA), optimizing multi-language build systems (Maven, Gradle, Ant), authoring modular IaC with Ansible and Chef, enforcing source control practices (Git/Perforce), and performing root-cause analysis for CI/CD incidents. The role requires a Bachelor of Technology or equivalent and 5+ years of progressive DevOps/Build/CI experience, with strong experience in developer productivity, platform engineering, and related tooling.
