Job Summary
Conduct analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance of application software written in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and CICS. Support existing business systems by partnering with Senior Developers to identify technical solutions, develop prototypes, and implement mainframe technologies. Design, document, and integrate applications while unit testing and reviewing system configurations for pharmacy benefits clients. Troubleshoot customer issues, communicate technical concepts, and optimize database performance to reduce CPU utilization. Ensure client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget. Hybrid work schedule required with specific internet connectivity standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5 years of experience
- COBOL
- JCL
- VSAM
- DB2
- IMS DB/DC
- REXX
- Modern data engineering tools (e.g. Databricks, Ab Initio, or similar)
- Data replications tools (e.g. Goldengate, Kafka, or similar)
- Agile and Scrum methodologies and tools
- Tools and technologies including AWS, Teradata, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
- Hybrid work schedule
- Internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
