Job Summary
Software Engineering Manager for FactSet’s Search and Look Up team. Oversees a software engineering group, reviews product requirements, tackles high-level architectural and operational challenges, and coordinates development timelines. Sets goals, mentors ongoing projects, guides software design and implementation, reviews code changes, communicates technical and operational issues to senior management, and negotiates feature sets with development leads and product teams. Responsible for coordinating recruiting, training, and onboarding for the immediate team. Remote position available within the United States with stated state restrictions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field
- 2 years of software engineering industry experience
- Proficiency with C#, .NET Framework, Python, SQL (MS SQL Server)
- Experience with Perl, JavaScript, Bash/Shell scripting
- Linux and Windows environments
- Kibana and Grafana
- AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, Parameter Store, Aurora & RDS, Step Functions, EventBridge, Kinesis, Firehose)
- ETL Pipelines
- DynamoDB
- Elasticsearch
- Must have full software development life cycle experience
