Job Summary
Software Engineering Manager role focusing on leading a team to deliver DCMS migration for 2026-2027 within Wells Fargo. You will manage, coach, and develop engineers and less-experienced managers, ensure alignment with Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements, collaborate with architects to enable migration paths including cloud readiness and data strategy, act as the technical representative in cross-team planning, drive resolution of technical roadblocks across code, build, deployment, and security, mentor peers through code reviews, promote agile and DevOps practices, and work with Product Managers to influence roadmaps and drive innovative solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with modern tech stacks, cloud/container platforms, automation, and observability tools, and effective stakeholder collaboration to deliver scalable, secure banking tech solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) and release management
- Experience with Agile Scrum practices
- Experience with cloud and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AKS/Azure)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk)
- Knowledge of database technologies (MongoDB, SQL/NoSQL)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
