Job Summary
Create and evolve your team's structure and organization design while staying deeply involved in system architecture for onboarding, compliance, and customer support workflows serving millions. Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, and CI/CD improvements, actively helping the team adopt AI coding tools and an agentic SDLC pipeline. Drive team performance by holding members accountable to deadlines, making hiring plans, and providing frequent feedback and coaching. Effectively resolve ambiguity by analyzing complex requirements and breaking initiatives into actionable tasks, while communicating across all levels from senior leaders to individual contributors. Own the team's output and adapt plans to changing realities in the fast-moving crypto and fintech industry.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development and delivery
- 3+ years managing engineering teams, delivering high-quality software for customers
- Technical ability to ask engineers good questions about architecture and product decisions
- Experience with modern software engineering concepts, including AI coding tools and automation in the development workflow
- Expertise in full-stack systems built with Scala or Java (or similar) and React Native
- Experience building consumer-facing applications with a product- and UX-focused mindset
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with key stakeholders such as product managers, project managers, and business owners
- In-person presence twice a week at the New York City, NY office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the crypto or fintech industry, or as a user of crypto products
- Experience with onboarding, identity/KYC, compliance, or customer support tooling
- Experience building or operating AI agents or agentic workflows in production
