Job Summary
Software Engineering Manager/Tech Lead to lead engineering squad, delivering AI-powered features for Cylinder's digestive health platform. You’ll be a hands-on technical leader involved in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions, partnering with product, clinical, and data teams to drive high-quality software in Go hosted on GKE/GCP with Terraform and GitHub DevOps. Responsibilities include defining technical roadmaps, ensuring high-velocity and high-quality delivery across onshore and offshore teams, establishing QA practices, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving AI integration and responsible AI practices. The role emphasizes leadership, security and privacy around healthcare data, distributed/work-from-home collaboration, and continuous improvement in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Software Engineering
- 2+ years in an engineering leadership role
- hands-on experience with backend systems Go and/or cloud-native environments
- experience building or integrating AI-powered features
- experience building and integrating AI-assisted tools into SDLC
- excellent communication and collaboration skills
- ability to work with offshore and onshore teams
