Job Summary
Lead the development of embedded software for digital power control systems using high power SCR's and IGBT's to generate both DC and AC output power. Architect firmware for real-time control on MCUs, DSPs, or FPGAs using C/C++ while managing and mentoring a team of 2–5 engineers through code reviews and technical coaching. Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware and product teams to define requirements, drive best practices in version control and testing, and own the full software development lifecycle from concept to production. Perform debugging of complex embedded systems in lab environments. This fully on-site role includes occasional travel up to 10% and is located in Mentor, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in embedded software development
- at least 2 years managing or leading engineering teams
- proficiency in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems
- experience with RTOS environments
- strong experience in digital control of power systems (PID control, loop stability, voltage/current regulation)
- Occasional travel, up to 10%
