Job Summary
Lead and manage a software engineering team of ~10-15 engineers onsite in St. Petersburg, FL, guiding technical development, training, and performance management. Oversee requirements, design, development, testing of application software and tools, contribute to SDLC activities, and ensure adherence to organizational policies. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers, participate in internal reviews, and drive the use of Agile/SCRUM practices. Must have hands-on C/C++ experience, strong communication skills, and prior leadership success; active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred) is desired, with eligibility to obtain/maintain higher clearance. Salary range 107,500–204,500 USD annually; onsite role with comprehensive benefits and relocation eligibility where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance required day 1
- Experience developing C/C++ and Object-oriented software designs
- Team-based development environment, Agile/SCRUM
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Typically requires a STEM degree and 5-8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years (per posting)
