Job Summary
Lead and build high-performing teams of software developers from graduate to senior levels, coaching and mentoring for career development while promoting engineering best practices. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by working closely with the product team to balance short and long-term objectives and collaborating with the wider organization on strategic goals. Manage teams delivering features on a regular cadence using Scrum or Agile frameworks, leveraging AI tools to optimize engineering processes and team performance. This role supports the Avigilon Alta Video engineering team, which injects intelligence into cloud-based video security systems to help organizations protect people and property in real-time.
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in leading people and software engineering teams
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI tools for optimizing engineering processes and team performance
- Track record of your teams delivering on time
- A natural ability to inspire and motivate
- Drive for continual learning
- Exposure to Scrum or other Agile frameworks
- Knowledge of modern software development lifecycles (SDLC)
- Cloud and/or DevOps experience on a product with a large customer base and global reach
- Passionate about CI/CD and release trains, delivering a regular cadence of features and quality improvements
- Mastery in any programming language (C++, Go, TypeScript, ...)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
