Job Summary
Software Engineering Manager role at Medtronic MiniMed focusing on governance of software application programs, leading QA across global teams, delivery of service providers, SDLC leadership, and test automation leadership with Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD. Requires advanced degree or relevant experience, strong cloud tooling with AWS, and collaboration across international teams. Hybrid role onsite in Northridge, CA four days per week. Salary range $165k–$175k.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications or related engineering or technical field, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in Software engineer for Digital and Cloud space or related occupation. Must possess at least two (2) years’ experience with a master’s degree with each of the following: Managing service delivery; Working across global geographies and managing cross functional teams; SDLC including Waterfall, Jira, Agile, and Scrum; Leading test automation for implementing test frameworks on web or service-oriented architectures; Software QA testing, test artifacts, and defects; Automation testing with Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, and TestNG; Git & Jenkins CI for building test pipelines; HTML and Java script; Amazon AWS, Scaling, Load Balancer, Amazon Glacier, VPC, Route53, Cloudwatch, and CloudTrail.
- Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in Software engineer for Digital and Cloud space or related occupation in lieu of a Master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience.
Additional Requirements
- On-site requirement for Northridge, CA four days per week in a hybrid model.
