Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers building the Sports Platform’s low-latency services with Golang, C#, Typescript, and React front-ends, transitioning from on-prem to GCP-based infrastructure. Drive delivery, quality, and governance while enabling rapid, scalable software development; collaborate across microservices, Kafka data streams, Google Spanner datastore, and evolving front-end technologies (WPF to React). The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, planning, risk mitigation, and maintaining a high-performing, delivery-focused team within bet365’s hybrid work policy.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial experience with leading development teams in the delivery of high quality software applications
- Experience with C#, Golang, Typescript or other server side technologies
- Experience with mobile technologies
- Experience with performance testing
- Knowledge of service oriented architecture
- Exposure to multiple software development methodologies
- Experience with or exposure to Cloud technologies such as GCP, GKE or SAAS
- Exposure to generative artificial intelligence and large language models
- Mentoring members of the team and ensuring distribution of knowledge
- Inputting developer appraisals and other performance feedback
- Planning and tracking works actively, as prioritized by the product, project and development management
