Software Engineering Manager

Lead as an engineering manager who is also a hands-on contributor, architecting and delivering end-to-end features across frontend and backend, while providing technical leadership for a small team. Build and ship critical product features across the stack, develop user-facing experiences with strong UI architecture, performance, and accessibility, and integrate frontend applications with backend APIs primarily written in Go. Collaborate with product managers and designers, debug across the stack, ensure product behavior aligns with real-world data, and drive high standards for code quality, documentation, and engineering excellence. The role sits in First Street’s AI-native climate risk platform, applying climate and financial risk modeling to real estate, infrastructure, and companies, with a hybrid in-office schedule in New York City.
