Job Summary
Lead, manage, and scale the high-performing team responsible for the certificate authority platform, overseeing technical direction, strategic planning, and execution of key projects. Collaborate with an agile, cross-functional team on large-scale backend systems for secure, high-availability web services supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Assume accountability for efficient feature delivery with strict adherence to uptime, compliance, and quality standards. Develop deep expertise in PKI products, architecture, and systems while ensuring deliverables meet industry compliance expectations. Manage and scale a highly capable engineering team, working closely with senior leadership, product management, and stakeholders to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of people management experience, managing software engineering teams
- 5+ years professional experience in software development
- Experience with leading teams on large scale, cross functional software projects
- Experience with C++ and Go
- Expertise developing, consuming, and evolving RESTful web services
- Experience building cloud native applications, services-based architecture, DevOps principles and continuous deployment
- Knowledge of both relational (MSSQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL (Cassandra) databases
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and address complex technical issues
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across time zones, fostering alignment, communication, and productivity in remote and hybrid environments
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best-practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Understanding of PKI, OCSP, CRL, CABF, and other CA related policies and technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. (Or equivalent experience)
