Job Summary
Manage a team of five software engineers on the Panels Team, delivering projects across the Security ecosystem while providing technical mentorship and setting timelines. Own the full project lifecycle, from exploring technical feasibility and prioritizing tradeoffs to generating work and improving processes. Lead the development of scalable service-oriented architectures and IoT devices that interact with the physical world, navigating competing priorities and ambiguous situations under pressure. Foster a positive, inclusive team environment through effective communication with engineers and non-engineers alike.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of professional experience managing a team of developers
- Strong technical mentorship skills
- Strong object-oriented programming skills
- Experience with database design and development
- Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies
- Experience working with physical systems
- Experience developing scalable service-oriented architectures
- Fosters a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment through day-to-day leadership
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and non-engineers alike
- Experience hiring, developing and managing a diverse and talented team of engineers
- Proven track record delivering large scale, cross-functional projects on time and in a high-quality manner
- Comfortable navigating competing priorities and ambiguous situations
- Communicates clearly, sets boundaries, and makes decisions under pressure
