Job Summary
Conduct daily operations of a scrum team performing development, maintenance, and sustainment of software products for the USAF and other customers. Provide functional direction to approximately 10-15 software engineers, remove impediments, and enable them to meet commitments while building, growing, and mentoring the team. Deliver and sustain software requirements on schedule through technical leadership, goal planning, and performance reviews. Identify skill gaps, increase engineering competencies via strategic hiring and employee development, and lead initiatives to ensure metric goals are met. Emphasize agile and model-based methods in support of a full digital engineering transformation.
Required Qualifications
- One of the following: Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years' experience with software engineering
- Master of Science degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 3 years' experience with software engineering
- Experience leading Agile software teams
- Full knowledge of software development lifecycle including: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance
- Experience communicating with customers, other technical teams, and senior management to report status, proactively identify and resolve issues, collect, and refine requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and coordinate a product strategy
- Experience with object-oriented programming, web development frameworks, and full stack application architectures
- Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
- Ability to obtain/maintain access to work full time on-site in Bellevue, NE
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Demonstrated use of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and configuration management (BitBucket)
- Demonstrated use of collaboration tool suites (Atlassian, GitLab)
- Scrum Master or Product Owner experience
- 5+ years leading or developing/maintaining software systems with proven success
- Scrum Master, Scrum Professional or Agile Coach Certification
- Proficiency with Java, Angular, Cesium, SonarQube, Jenkins
- Previous experience as a team lead
