Job Summary
Software Engineering Lead, AVP for Legal and Compliance Technology at Blackstone. Lead the L&C tech software engineering efforts by defining the technical strategy and architecture, developing scalable and secure systems on AWS, and aligning with global L&C requirements. Build and mentor a high-performing team, create technical roadmaps, and drive modernization. Oversee custom application development using C# and Python, and lead SaaS platform integrations with Contract Pod AI, Star Compliance, ServiceNow LSD, and Snowflake. Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance across global operations, while collaborating with international stakeholders and shaping the long-term vision for L&C technology solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of software development and architecture experience
- Proven experience in L&C systems, including designing solutions for L&C workflows and processes
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and SaaS platform integration
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with L&C SaaS platforms
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks
- Experience working in a global organization with multinational teams
- Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and cloud-native development
- Expertise in SaaS platform implementation and integration for L&C systems
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and middleware tools
- Extensive experience in L&C systems, including familiarity with L&C workflows and processes (e.g., AML, Conflicts)
- Proven experience in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing development teams
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with global stakeholders
- Experience fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated prior experience defining and executing a long-term vision for L&C technology
- Experience developing and maintaining multi-year roadmaps that align with business priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
