Job Summary
Software Engineering Lead, AVP - Legal and Compliance Technology role leading architecture and delivery of L&C technology solutions. Design scalable, secure cloud-native architectures on AWS, develop roadmaps aligned with global L&C requirements, and lead integration of SaaS platforms (Contract Pod AI, Star Compliance, ServiceNow LSD, Snowflake) with internal applications via APIs and middleware. Hands-on development with Python and C#, Terraform, and AWS services; oversee custom app development; define coding standards; mentor and grow a high-performing team; ensure data privacy, security, and compliance across global operations; drive long-term vision and multi-year roadmaps for L&C tech with stakeholders worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of software development and architecture experience
- Proven experience in L&C systems, including designing solutions for L&C workflows and processes
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and SaaS platform integration
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with L&C SaaS platforms
- Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) (preferred)
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks
- Experience working in a global organization with multinational teams
- Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and cloud-native development
- Expertise in SaaS platform implementation and integration for L&C systems
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and middleware tools
- Extensive experience in L&C systems, including familiarity with L&C workflows and processes (e.g., AML, Conflicts)
- Proven experience in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing development teams
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with global stakeholders
- Experience fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated prior experience defining and executing a long-term vision for L&C technology
- Experience developing and maintaining multi-year roadmaps that align with business priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
