Job Summary
Design and test complex coding problems for trading tools and risk applications using Java, C++, and Python within a short, fast-paced release cycle. Deliver a technical project mirroring full-time associate roles while participating in classroom learning covering options basics, market making, and quant frameworks. Work alongside software engineers and interns to build systems that price, trade, and manage risk in real time, utilizing AI coding assistants and agentic tooling to ship code quickly. Receive mentorship from technology team members while collaborating on educational and social activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar technical field
- Java, C++, or Python experience
- You will graduate between December 2027-June 2028
- You have a demonstrated record of success (academics, awards, etc.)
- You are willing to relocate to Chicago, IL for the summer
- You can participate in the full duration of the 8-week program from mid-June to early August 2027
- A foundation in data structures, object-oriented programming and algorithms
- The ability to apply [data structures, object-oriented programming and algorithms] to real-world problems
- An interest in learning about technology, trading, pricing and risk management
