Job Summary
SDE-2/SDE-3 role in Kotak Group focused on Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for banking/fintech applications. Design, develop and implement software solutions using Java/J2EE or Python with Spring, build microservices, employ Docker/containerization, and work with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ). Participate in design and code reviews, ensure alignment with architectural standards, and collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze requirements and propose solutions. Strong emphasis on data structures/algorithms, relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB), cloud services (AWS/Azure), and knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Domain Driven Design, Agile/Kanban. Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field; certifications like Java Certified Developer and AWS certifications are a plus. Experience range 3–12 years; locations: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Experience in Java/J2EE or Python
- Spring stack
- Knowledge of Docker and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with Microservices and CI/CD practices
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL
- Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Strong communication and Agile/Kanban experience
- Prior work in product engineering/development
- Bonus: Banking/Fintech domain experience
- Java Certified Developer
- AWS Developer or Solution Architect
