Job Summary
Software Engineering Director at Arteris leads the software engineering team responsible for the FlexNoC configuration and generation tools, overseeing GUI/NoC topology and configuration algorithms, RTL/export framework modules, verification environments, and system models. You’ll guide software architecture discussions, define software development methodologies, drive CI/CD practices, collaborate with architecture, RTL, verification, and applications teams, mentor engineers, contribute to long-term technical roadmaps, and ensure scalable, high-quality EDA software infrastructure. Key requirements include 15+ years in software development with 5+ years in engineering management, strong Python/C/C++, Qt/PyQt GUI experience, OO design, data structures, and a track record in delivering complex, scalable software solutions; experience with graph-based layout algorithms and Agile practices is highly desirable. A Master’s degree is preferred. Location-based roles are in Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Paris, France.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years managing software engineering teams
- Proven experience delivering complex software frameworks
- Experience with GUI applications using Qt or PyQt
- Strong Python and C/C++ skills
- Object-oriented software design, data structures and software architecture
- Experience scaling and maintaining software solutions
- Experience with scripting languages and automation workflows
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for distributed teams
- Bonus: experience in EDA software development
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent industry experience considered
