Job Summary
Lead one or more development teams responsible for IMSWest remediation initiatives, delivering high-quality software solutions aligned with risk reduction objectives and business commitments. Validate technical designs, implementation approaches, and architecture decisions while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule with strong engineering discipline. Provide technical leadership across application development, integration, automation, and modernization activities, driving best practices including secure coding, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD adoption. Support technical debt reduction and application modernization to improve system reliability, scalability, and operational supportability by implementing automation solutions and partnering with observability and SRE teams. Ensure development activities comply with technology governance and control requirements, driving root-cause analysis for recurring production issues and supporting remediation efforts from audits and risk reviews. Mentor software engineers and technical leads while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning across global onshore and offshore teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 2 years leading development teams
- Strong experience with Java
- Strong experience with enterprise application development
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems
- Experience designing and developing API-based architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with GitHub
- Familiarity with Jenkins
- Familiarity with SonarQube
- Familiarity with modern software delivery practices
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
