Job Summary
Manage an organization of over 100 multidisciplinary employees as the primary Engineering liaison to a Program Manager, overseeing team execution, staffing, indirect budgets, and process changes. Conduct daily communication, performance assessment, development, and recognition of direct reports while developing high-performing teams through mentoring and coaching. Assist the AL Engineering Director with technology initiatives, employee engagement, staffing projections, and support of new business acquisitions. Align program scope to skills and experience, leveraging 10+ years of technical and personnel management experience in program IPT, R&D, or functional environments. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience or equivalent advanced degrees, along with an Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience, or Master's Degree with 6 years or PhD with 4 years. Science in Software Engineering, System Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in any combination of engineering disciplines accompanied by high proficiency in technical problem solving
- Must have minimum of three years proven technical and personnel management experience through program IPT, R&D, or functional environments
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in a STEM discipline
- Knowledge and experience with Missile Defense Systems
- Experience managing technical teams with budgetary responsibility
- Proven performance as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution
- Ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers
- Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines
- Familiarity with Agile engineering principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse team
