Software Engineering Architect

Software Engineering Architect role at Western Union focused on leveraging AI coding agents to accelerate modernization and development across global money-movement platforms. You will guide AI agents to build applications, workflow automations, and lightweight agents, translate needs into specs, review AI-generated code for security and compliance, track adoption and operational outcomes, and design scalable, secure architectures for high-volume transactions. The role requires Master’s degree with 5+ years (or Bachelor's with 7+ years) of software experience, hands-on AI tooling experience, strong full-stack skills (frontend, backend, APIs, cloud, infrastructure), Java/J2EE and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React), and a strong emphasis on security, privacy, compliance, reliability, and production readiness. Hybrid work from the Atlanta office is expected at least three days a week. Salary range is $130,000–$155,000 annually, with opportunities for performance-based compensation.
