Job Summary

Develop robust features and components for WellSky solutions, emphasizing code quality, performance, and scalability across the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with solution managers, designers, and senior engineers to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-impact features that align with business goals. Identify and resolve technical issues in development and production environments, debugging applications and performing performance tuning to improve system scalability. Prepare technical documentation, actively participate in code reviews, and adhere to industry best practices and internal coding standards. Develop and maintain a robust set of automated tests, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to validate software quality. Leverage AI-assisted development tools and platforms as an integral part of your daily workflow to streamline tasks and drive data-informed outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience in software development
  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in a few of these areas and a solid understanding of software development principles
  • Backend: Object-oriented languages such as C#/.NET, Java, or Python
  • Frontend: Modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular, and TypeScript
  • Databases: Relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Infrastructure & Tools: Linux environments, cloud platforms, Docker, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
  • Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Agile development and the SDLC process
  • AI Tools: Hands-on use of developer copilots or AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) in day-to-day work
  • Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in the healthcare domain
