Software Engineer - WAFL RAID

Job Summary
Design and develop ONTAP RAID and Storage software, including kernel-level programming and debugging. Write unit tests in C/C++ and develop test automation scripts using Python. Contribute to architecture, design, debugging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments. Collaborate with engineers distributed globally to ensure integrated testing and development efforts. Gain experience with storage protocols such as NVMe, SAS, and Fibre Channel. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience; strong programming in C/C++, Python, Linux/UNIX; kernel-level debugging and system software experience; and a proactive approach to testing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python
- Experience in System Software programming and Kernel level debugging
- Experience in writing unit tests code and develop test automation scripts
- Familiarity with modern automation tools and frameworks
- Solid understanding of core systems engineering concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, geo-distributed teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with storage and cloud technologies is a plus
