Job Summary
Design and develop scalable, secure, and user-centric applications powering Versant’s next-generation platforms. Contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and user-centric applications that power Versant’s next-generation platforms. This role involves delivering full-stack solutions, implementing scalable microservices and modern front-end applications, and using SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate delivery. Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team knowledge-sharing sessions. Write secure, performant, and maintainable code while collaborating with product and architecture teams to align technical direction with business priorities. Requires 3+ years of professional software development experience and proficiency in backend languages (Java, Node.js, Python, Go) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript with React, Vue, or Angular. Expertise in RESTful APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Git and CI/CD pipelines, and strong troubleshooting skills in distributed environments. Preferred: exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, low-code/no-code tools, serverless, IaC tools like Terraform/CloudFormation, monitoring stacks (Datadog/Prometheus/ELK), and DevOps practices. A background in the media/entertainment domain is a plus. This is a fully remote position with a focus on high-impact projects and collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficient in backend development languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Git with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration in a team setting
- Exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, and low-code/no-code tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with serverless technologies and event-driven architecture (preferred)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) (preferred)
- Working knowledge of monitoring stacks like Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK (preferred)
- Experience modernizing legacy systems or integrating with enterprise platforms (preferred)
- Awareness of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code (preferred)
- Background in media, entertainment business domain is a plus (preferred)
