Software Engineer

Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and following the software development lifecycle. Document and demonstrate solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code while preparing system specifications and standards. Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending policy changes, and protect operations by maintaining confidentiality. Obtain and license software by testing vendor products and approving purchases. This role supports engineering and organizational missions by studying state-of-the-art development tools and participating in professional organizations.
