Job Summary
Join Tuum's Cards Team as a Software Engineer to design and scale the transactional engine handling card issuing, payments processing, and real-time ledger balances in a cloud-native core banking platform. You will design, implement, test, and deploy robust features for the Cards module; ensure reliability and performance of production systems; produce high-quality, maintainable code in Java (Spring) and PostgreSQL; work with microservices to keep distributed systems decoupled and resilient; contribute to frontend (JavaScript/React) as needed; participate in an agile environment focused on continuous improvement; collaborate with teammates and business users to deliver scalable, high-throughput solutions for global financial services.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience building scalable backend applications using Java (Spring) and relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
- Willingness to contribute to our front-end codebase and grow your skills in JavaScript (React)
- Strong background in agile software development
- An active collaborator who shares knowledge, provides constructive feedback, and invests in the success of your team
- Bonus points for familiarity with cloud-based solutions, especially AWS
- A background in the financial sector
