Job Summary
As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet industry standards. Key responsibilities include managing the software development process from conception to deployment, maintaining and upgrading software after deployment, overseeing the software lifecycle, and guiding automated testing efforts. The ideal candidate has strong experience in object-oriented programming, particularly with Python, and at least a year of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript. Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and thorough knowledge of the full software development lifecycle are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in object-oriented (OO) languages, with a significant focus on Python
- At least 1 year of JavaScript or TypeScript experience
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and other engineers
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code
- Experience in the development of unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality
- Experiencing in the development of microservices and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of how to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Willingness to be submitted for and ability to obtain Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a modern cloud provider such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with modern front-end development using React or Angular
- Experience with Source Control tools (e.g. Git, Gitlab)
- Experience with DevSecOps and Agile Scrum software development methodology
- IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CISSP, or CASP)
- Active TS/SCI with a Counter Intelligence (CI) or recent Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) U.S. Government Security Clearance
