Job Summary
Develop critical software powering the collection, transformation, and delivery of market data used by trading systems. Build scalable, performant applications using software engineering best practices while researching new technologies to enhance trading infrastructure. Collaborate with operations and traders to ensure production systems remain optimal, resolving complex design issues and explaining technical trade-offs to stakeholders. Drive new initiatives and facilitate discussions on architecture and testing strategies. Work with complex real-time market data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, 2 to 10 years of experience, and strong skills in Python or C++.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- 2 to 10 years of experience building software systems
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Strong knowledge and experience in Python or C++
- Passion for financial markets and an interest in global events and how they influence market behaviour
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on data quality and correctness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
