Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and debug system software for embedded devices and MS Windows desktops throughout the lifecycle from requirements to deployment. Conduct architecture and requirements reviews, perform peer reviews of work products, and estimate software development tasks and resource requirements. Review code and design while ensuring requirements are correctly interpreted. This role requires US citizenship, a Department of Defense Security Clearance, and 15 years of experience in software engineering with proficiency in C and C++. The position is based in Warner Robins or Atlanta, GA, with 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or Engineering and 15 years' work experience in Software Engineering OR equivalent experience
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance
- Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multi-tasking real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks, Green Hills)
- Proficient in C, C++
- Knowledge of IBM Rational-DOORS
- Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
- Experience developing software requirement specifications and software documentation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel 10% CONUS and OCONUS
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of EW Self-Protection Systems (e.g. RWR, LWS, MWS) and performance
- Systems or networking programming experience
- Familiarity with C#, Python, and WinForms
- Experience with development and execution of verification and validation procedures
- Basic understanding of Software Security
- Knowledge of DO-178C
- Experience with development of avionics software
