Job Summary
Provide Software Lab build support, including hand-carrying equipment and cable connections for testing. Modify and maintain existing applications, develop user interfaces, and integrate new hardware and radios into RDT&E tasking. Assist with documenting software changes, test procedures, and test reports while attending technical meetings as needed. This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation. The primary location is Newport, RI, with occasional travel within the continental United States. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering with a focus on computer science and possess 3+ years of professional experience in software development or computer networks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science from an accredited university
- 3+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks
- Proficient in Linux, more specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Proficient in C++, especially GUI development
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- U.S. citizenship
- The ability to pass a thorough background investigation
- The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI
- Occasional travel required within the continental United States
