Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and web-based systems. Analyze requirements to create effective software solutions, collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, create documentation and diagrams, improve performance and scalability, troubleshoot defects and production issues, use monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability, perform code reviews, promote engineering best practices, mentor peers, stay current with new technologies, and contribute to a distributed, fully remote engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and delivering complex web-based applications
- Experience with system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (Object-oriented design, coding standards, code reviews, Git, build and deployment, testing methodologies, production operations and support)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to a distributed team
