Job Summary
As a Software Engineer at TabaPay, you will design and build new instant payment solutions and improve core technology. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to research, develop, integrate, and optimize payment solutions, engineer solutions that lead to high-performing, customer-centric products, and provide technical guidance as needed. The role focuses on coding in Python for back-end solutions, translating high-level product requirements into detailed specifications, and collaborating with product on detailed requirements. The position is based at HQ in Palo Alto, CA, with a salary around $140,000 and a full benefits package. Responsibilities include implementing payment features, supporting concept feasibility for new products, troubleshooting with the support team, and contributing to an Agile development process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in back-end software engineering
- Wants to code 90% of the time as an individual contributor
- Experience with Python
- Experience with SQL
- Experience/knowledge of basic shell
- Experience coding in Python
- Strong communication skills and collaboration with teams
- Experience with Scrum Agile development lifecycle (preferred)
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science (preferred)
