Software Engineer

Job Summary
Develop, customize, integrate, and deploy enterprise software solutions focused on risk management, fraud prevention, financial technology, and data-driven platforms. Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Customer Support to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions for enterprise customers. Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, deployment activities, and cross-functional implementation efforts; support deployments across multiple environments and, when required, coordinate across time zones. Proficiency in Java or Python and experience with databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and DevOps practices are essential; experience with analytics or ML-enabled data platforms and exposure to financial services is a plus. Advanced English proficiency requested.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools
- Solid understanding of APIs, web services, networking concepts, ETL processes, and distributed systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Experience working with analytics, machine learning, or data-driven platforms is a plus
- Previous exposure to financial services, banking technologies, payments ecosystems, fraud prevention, risk management, or enterprise software environments is preferred
- Hybrid work model: 3 days working from home and 2 days onsite at our Torre Krystal offices in Bogotá
- Advanced English proficiency (B2 or Higher)
