Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe's engineering teams using Java, Ruby, Scala, and Go. Engineer payments integration with various financial partners, design APIs and underlying data models to support complex financial abstractions and multi-party integrations. Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it, while integrating observability tools and alerting mechanisms into high-traffic production systems. Debug production issues, analyze user needs to determine design feasibility, and mentor junior engineers through technical design reviews. Establish best practices in code quality, system design, resilience engineering, and deployment strategies across the billing infrastructure group.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 2 years of Software development experience
- 2 years of experience working with Java, Scala, Python and AWS
- 2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns
- 2 years of software engineering experience building full-stack web applications at scale
- 2 years of experience with database management
- 2 years of experience using SQL and related query languages to perform data analysis
- 40 hrs/week
- 50% Telecommuting Permitted
