Job Summary
This role involves full-stack development of applications within the Order, Trade, and Compliance Technology Team, emphasizing modern engineering principles. Candidates will engage in coding primarily in Java, work with relational databases, and participate in Agile methodologies. Key responsibilities include unit testing and debugging, collaborating with various teams, and supporting Portfolio Managers and Traders. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience, proficiency in programming languages, experience with Agile and version control systems, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include finance knowledge and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 5+ years of hands-on corporate experience developing software
- Proficiency in Java or similar languages (e.g., Python, C#)
- Hands-on use of SQL and experience with relational databases
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- Interest or experience in the finance or asset management industry
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools and practices
- Experience in writing and implementing unit tests (e.g., JUnit)
