Job Summary
Software Engineer to support a high-visibility DoD software program focused on mission planning, systems engineering, software sustainment, and modernization. Responsibilities include applying systems engineering processes to software analysis, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and technical documentation; reviewing and documenting requirements and defects; analyzing impact of changes; engaging with government and contractor stakeholders to identify improvements; supporting cybersecurity, DevSecOps modernization, Agile practices, and MBSE efforts; contributing to project plans, schedules, risk management, and program documentation; preparing reports and briefings for leadership; and participating in technical reviews and cross-functional collaboration to advance mission-critical software capabilities across operational planning environments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD, federal, or mission-critical software systems
- Strong understanding of systems engineering, software development, and technical documentation processes
- Experience with requirements analysis, defect tracking, risk management, and configuration management
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices and DevSecOps concepts
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, technical stakeholders, software developers, vendors, and government customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare technical reports, leadership briefings, schedules, and program documentation
- Willingness to travel periodically in support of program needs
