Job Summary
Software Engineer (Site Reliability Engineering) at Qube Research & Technologies: Collaborate with developers, researchers, traders, and platform teams to build and improve business-critical systems; build automation for operations, deployment, monitoring, and incident response; evaluate and implement tools balancing performance, complexity, and maintainability; own and evolve the observability stack (metrics, logs, tracing, alerts); participate in oncall rota and drive postmortems/root-cause analyses. Strong Python skills, Linux/Unix production experience, and a track record delivering scalable systems are required. Preferred: Terraform/Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana, Kubernetes/Docker/ECS, and knowledge of low-latency trading environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a strongly related field
- Strong Python programming skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and deep understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems in production environments
- Proven track record designing and delivering scalable systems in production environments
