Job Summary
As a Software Engineer on the Simulator Evaluation team, you will build metrics and pipelines to ensure the accuracy of a complex autonomous driving simulation. Your responsibilities include implementing evaluation metrics in C++/Python, mining datasets to select relevant examples, building scalable data processing pipelines, analyzing metric results, and collaborating with Tech Leads to improve evaluation capabilities. You should have solid experience in software development, proficiency in Python or C++, and be comfortable with data analysis and visualization methods.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of industry experience in software development
- Solid proficiency in Python or C++
- Experience with version control, code review, and debugging complex systems
- Comfortable working with data
- Experience querying a dataset (SQL/Pandas)
- Ability to visualize results and sanity-check metrics
- Adaptable to evaluate various models in a hybrid environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., MapReduce, Flume, Spark)
- Experience with data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
- Background in Autonomous driving, Robotics, Simulation, or AdTech
- Familiarity with basic statistics or machine learning concepts
- Experience validating software performance or quality (e.g., building test infrastructure)
