Job Summary
Software Engineer, Service Resiliency on the Genesys Cloud platform focusing on design/development of scalable microservices, reliability tooling, and observability. You will collaborate across teams to build and maintain resilient, scalable cloud-based services, implement CI/CD pipelines, participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, and contribute to root-cause analyses and on-call rotations. The role emphasizes a Production First mindset, cloud expertise (AWS), multi-tenant microservices, and strong collaboration with remote teammates in Ireland (Galway office or remote). Key skills include Python or Golang development, RESTful API design, observability/monitoring platforms, and experience with serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience with AWS (or other cloud providers)
- Expertise in software development with hands-on experience in AWS serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS)
- Proficiency in one of Python or Golang
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design
- Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins) and observability/monitoring tools
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working within Agile software development frameworks
